Zen Style
Garden
  The Garden Before The Project

Before/Project Brief
The brief for this small, town garden was to create a space with a Zen feel. A larger terrace space was required but it was important for some lawn to be retained.

Zen Style Gardens Views After
The Southern Yellow pine decking was a key feature in this garden because of its beautiful texture. The aim was to create more of a seamless effect as you stepped from the house to the garden.

The decking was edged with box cubes which will eventually knit to become a small neat hedge.

Sleepers mark out the distinct areas of the garden   Sunny Screens add light while hiding the shed

Existing sleepers were re-laid to separate the lawn from the borders. The planting is soft with flowering climbers to add interest to the willow fencing.       The Sunny Screens lightened the garden and screened the back gate and the shed from view. In front of the right hand screen is an area of cobbles where a Zen style water feature will sit.       A bamboo was strategically positioned at the rear of the garden to add additional screening of neighbouring houses.
